TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

Love Your Tattoos

Recommended products:

Soap - Palmolive Antibacterial Soap (red hand wash)

Cream - Skin Tattoo Cream

Instructions:

Clean your tattoo when you get home from your appointment & clean again before bed, after that clean it 2-3 times a day or when needed. Cleaning it is the most important part of the healing process. Your tattoo is an open wound until healed and needs to be kept sanitary and clean at all times.

Apply skin tattoo cream to your tattoo 2-3 times a day or as needed. Skin was made by a naturopath specifically for tattoos, all ingredients are natural and the consistency is like a moisturiser and hydrates your tattoo without leaving it oily. You only need the smallest amount of cream.

You can shower after your tattoo appointment at whatever temperature you like - this doesn’t effect the tattoo at all. You can also go to the gym after your appointment - just keep yourself and the equipment clean for obvious reasons.

Be careful of dirt, dust or dirty water going near your tattoo, as stated before your tattoo is an open wound until healed and needs to be kept sanitary and clean. Cover it for work if needed (I will give you options specific to you in your appointment) and wash as soon as cleanliness is compromised. The reason we say don’t go in water (apart from showers) is because you can’t trust the bacteria in water - open water does have flesh eating bacteria in it and no one wants to risk that. Don’t submerge your tattoo in water (baths, pools spas etc) because you might compromise the healing process. Be clean around pets and keep them and their hair away from the tattoo until its healed.

If you have any questions or issues after your appointment please contact me straight away and I can correct and direct you in the right way - you can send photos to explain better if needed.

Don’t follow what your friends neighbours cat said or google. I have tried and tested this method for years on end with myself and my clients and it is the most consistent and best way to heal for all skin types.
